discovery - recyclable shaving

You can buy razors from Wholefoods that are made from recycled plastic. The brand is "Preserve", and they cost less than Gillette products. I tested - they work great. You can switch out just the blade and/or when the handle gets worn, you can throw it back into the recycle bin. This makes me happy. Disposable razors are one of my huge-mungous pet peaves. Please buy recycled - and tell others! :)

recycled plastic??? GET REAL

who on earth is going to use a razor thats made out of what someone else has used before? that's disgusting! i always throw out my disposable razors, at least 2 or 3 a week into the trash, what do you think trash cans are made for? and that's how it's been done by people since the beginning of time and we're all fine. plus nobody digs up plastic at landfills, i can assure you of that.

please don't tell me that you're one of those recycling freaks that paws through the garbage like some crotchety old raccoon wasting all that time and effort separating all your trash so that someone else (evil corporations) can make money off of it.

i find it completely amusing is how so many people (sheeple) have been brainwashed into the scam of recycling. it turns regular people into stepford wives like behavior. i always laugh at the fools dragging bags of cans or bottles to the store, they look like homeless bums, and they are wasting their lives on that kind of silliness. as if they need the $2.14 they're gonna get for that garbage they turn in. unreal. people that recycle need to get a life, because they are wasting their entire valuable life on utter nonsense!! all their "recycling" efforts are so foolish and futile and make absolutely NO difference at all in this material world.

and trust me, *anything* can be put into the trash. from car batteries to motor oil, the automated trucks
never see what's in your trash. and it's a great way to get back at them for the high rates they charge.

Re: recycled plastic??? GET REAL

Interesting feedback. If you own a home (which I do) -you pay for trash pickup. You don't pay for recycle pickup. So from a purely selfish economical standpoint, it still makes sense to go with recylcable materials. Which also speaks to your homeless bum comment. I get curbside service, so I don't really know what you're talking about. Perhaps you have more experience with being a homeless bum than I? :)

Re: recycled plastic??? GET REAL

you are still sorting everything out like a lemming, just like they trained you to do. all one big waste of time and effort. meanwhile, you're still paying for trash pickup... which is where ALL of that garbage should go.

furthermore...

this entire nation has been ruined by plastic!! soda used to come in glass bottles, which did make sense to return. now everything is plastic. grocery bags used to be paper, now they are all plastic as well. and this plastic plague that was started by greedy american corporations has spread to other countries and is now a worldwide epidemic of plastic water bottles, soda bottles, and damn plastic shopping bags littering up all the once beautiful and pristine places of the world. and the reason? the big american caqpitalist corporations wanted the cheapest method of packaging, with no thought of all its devastating effects.

Re: recycled plastic??? GET REAL

You've got to be a troll, but I'll respond anyway.

Recycled plastic isn't the same as recycled razors. Recycled plastic (from milk jugs, yogurt containers, pop bottles, and a thousand other things) can be made into new milk jugs, pop bottles, futon filling, lumber for decking (trex), polar fleece (synchilla) etc, etc. Anyone who doesn't understand the difference has no business commenting on it.

Re: recycled plastic??? GET REAL

and i should care why??? all recycling is a total waste of time and is completely absurd! anyone who participates in such a useless farce has been brainwashed into doing so. trash was meant to be trash, and other than recycling big stoves, refrigerators or cars, all the rest of that silliness is pure folly.

the leftover food you had for dinner a week ago can be made into a new dinner today, but i don't think you'd want to eat it.

yeah!

Yeah! Plus, what do you have against Gilette anyway? They're a good, god-fearing multinational and they give jobs to people all over the world, even poor young kids who wouldn't otherwise HAVE jobs! People think corporations are so evil, but they're just trying to make a little money like everyone else. Struggling, working hard to get by. Besides, what's wrong with forming useless petroluem into useful bath products that everyone can make use of? For shame, EvieE!
